About this event

  • 5 hours

Task:

As a volunteer, you will be helping Trent Rivers Trust to build natural barriers to slow the flow of water along key surface water flow paths within the woodland. This will also be an opportunity to see how locally available material can be used to reduce downstream flood risk.

What to expect:

You will be helping to cut, move and position woody material. No previous experience is required. TRT will provide full support and supervision throughout the day. You will have a chance to get active and meet new people.

Beacon Hill Country Park Lower carpark has space for 130 parked cars and has disabled space. We will be walking through the woods to where we will be working. Mobile phone signals can be varied and will depend on your provider. Trent Rivers Trust will provide safety gloves.
