LGBT Foundation, the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing charity, is marking its 50th anniversary with Community Playlist Live – a free, collaborative party that invites you to help us create the ultimate LGBTQ+ playlist from the 1970s to the present day.

From 5.30-8pm, come along to hear our amazing DJ spinning your favourite LGBTQ+ anthems, grab a mocktail from our fabulous mixologist, strike a pose in the photobooth, and visit our archive handling table to discover how music lay the foundation for radical LGBTQ+ change in Manchester.

You can make song requests when you order a ticket, or bring along your favourite CD or vinyl to add a track to the mix on the night.

This is event is presented in collaboration with John Rylands Library alongside their landmark exhibition The Secret Public: LGBTQ Pop 1955 - 1985. Free guided tours of the exhibition will be taking place on the night.

All attendees will receive a link to the Community Playlist after the event, so you can keep those tunes going!

Community Playlist Live is brought to you by LGBT Foundation's 50th Anniversary celebrations, thanks to the generous support of The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Barefoot Wine, with Pride in Ageing and the Recovery Team.

50 Years of Queer Hope and Joy is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to celebrate and share stories of LGBTQ+ communities and activism in the North West and beyond, from 1975 to the present day.
