The Social Business Wales consortium provides funding, mentorship, governance, marketing and other support to help you get started or grow.

Partnering with UnLtd, this interactive session is open to anyone living in Wales who identifies with a marginalised group and has an idea to set up a social enterprise, or already has a Social Enterprise and could benefit from business support.

Marginalised groups include:

  • Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic
  • Disability, impairment or learning difference, including neurodivergence and mental health challenges
  • LGBTQIA+
  • Caring responsibilities
  • Experience of being in care
  • Disadvantaged socio-economic background
  • Any other under-represented background, e.g. people with experience of imprisonment, homelessness, abuse and domestic violence, substance misuse, etc


This session will provide information about the support available through Social Business Wales and UnLtd and will cover:

  • What a Social Enterprise is
  • What makes a successful Social Enterprise – case studies in Wales
  • Our commitment to inclusion
  • Social Business Wales - support available & eligibility
  • UnLtd funding and support – criteria and how to apply
  • Overview of other sources of funding & support for social entrepreneurs

There will be time for Q&A at the end of the session.

We want to make this event as inclusive as possible, so please request any reasonable adjustments, such as British Sign Language interpretation, slides in advance, etc. when registering.
