Join us at Golden Curry Balti House, Bletchley for an extra special one-off Social Care Curry Club on the first night of the JSWEC Conference. Following on from the success of Social Care Curry Club across the UK and in Canada, a couple of brilliant conference currys at NCASC and perhaps most importantly, an awesome JSWEC curry last year, we thought we'd try it again.
In short come along, eat curry, meet people, talk social care...or whatever you like really, but please don't come along and try to sell anything, we're aiming for relaxed social. If you want to know more of what we're about check out the introduction here.
Places at curry are limited, so please book promptly and don't delay. Tickets are free of charge but you'll need to pay for your own food (£14 per person for a set-menu banquet including poppadoms, starter and main) and your own drinks. Curry is independent but complimentary to JSWEC so we are not starting until 9.30pm to enable people to attend the fringe session with Jo Warner and Liz Beddoe beforehand at 7.30-9pm. The fringe session and Social Care Curry are open to non-conference delegates, so do come along and join in if you can.
The venue is 4 miles away from the OU, which will only take 10mins in a cab or car. We will organise taxis on the day if people need them. Space is limited and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis, so act quickly and if you can't make this one don't worry the next quarterly Social Care Curry Club will be happening across the UK on Thursday 3 September.
