Social Cinema, a Front Seat for Everyone
It’s no longer enough to shoot a film and then wait for the audience to pat at the Box Office. No, film goers want to be involved in the action before the lights go down. Which us why a brand like Jaguar has been busy providing consumers with behind-the-scenes footage of its Damian Lewis filmic short Desire. And why BlackBerry has joined forces with director Roberto Rodriguez to crowdsource content for new movie Two Scoops. Also tapping into the wisdom of the crowd for filmmaking is Amazon Studios.
To find out more about the increasingly social aspects of film, brand-e and The Hospital Club are running the Social Cinema: A Front Seat For Everyone event in London on 1 May. Michael Derkits, head of VICE Media’s Virtue creative agency, will talk about cinematic campaigns from Intel and Grolsch. Conor Costello, Global Campaign Manager at Oxfam will speak about harnessing fanpower to create a filmic campaign with Coldplay. Plus Dr Caroline Wiertz of Cass Business School will analyse the influence of Twitter on film and filmgoers, while Sheridan Thomas of Great Guns will talk about interactive successes in video games/film campaigns.
Social Cinema, a Front Seat for Everyone will help you:
