This face to face session will be delivered by East Cheshire NHS Trust Specialist Speech and Language Therapists and will include a presentation and opportunities for feedback and discussion. The session will focus on how social communication difficulties can affect children in the classroom and how strategies can be used to support the child to achieve their potential.

This training is exclusively for East Cheshire teachers/TAs in primary or secondary schools who have been directed to access training by an East Cheshire NHS Speech and Language Therapist. Please note that due to a large demand for this course only staff who directly support a child known to the SALT department will be eligible to attend. Prior to the course all attendees will be contacted for names of the child they support. Please use your work email when booking a place (where possible).

  • you support a child with social communication difficulties
  • you have been directed to attend this course by a SALT
  • you work within a Cheshire East school
