Event Details

The Social Economy Alliance launched in June 2013 with the aim of getting a ‘social economy’ higher up on all political parties’ agendas by the 2015 General Election.  Amid growing inequalities in the UK, it will lobby to help shape political policy that’s better for the economy and society as a whole, and emphasise the role businesses – particularly social enterprises and cooperatives – have to play, bolstering the economy and ensuring wealth is distributed more evenly across communities.

The Alliance is hosting public fringe events at each of the main party conferences this autumn.  All of our events will be free to attend and outside of the secure zones, meaning that anyone can attend with or without a conference pass.  We want to make sure that politicians get the chance to meet social enterprise leaders and social entrepreneurs at our events, so please come along and share your stories with the politicians.
