Social Entrepreneurship for Counselling Professionals
Thu 7 September 2017, 19:00 – 21:00 BST
This participatory workshop introduces trainee and qualified counselling professionals to basic business knowledge that underpins a successful counselling service within the social enterprise sector. We will consider areas such as funding, human resources management and clinical programme development. We will look at personal and professional qualities of the “entrepreneur-practitioner.” We will also discuss service sustainability in the era of mental health contract outsourcing.
This workshop is suitable for therapists with no prior business management experience, who may be thinking of expanding their work beyond private practice or corporate employment.
