Event description

Description

What difference do our organisations make to the people in our community? We are often asked to demonstrate our social impact in funding bids and tender documents, but how often do we think about how it makes the people we are serving feel?

During Firestarter Festival we are inviting organisations to come along with a customer, employee, service user, volunteer or anyone who their work is intended to help as we investigate the good we are doing in Dundee. Uppertunity are facilitating this event for us making it fully inclusive.

If you are thinking of starting an enterprise, this event will really make you think about your impact in a new way – come along even if you don’t have anyone to bring with you yet!

The outcome of this event, as well as food for thought and a renewed sense of purpose, will be a community mural which will be displayed in The Circle.

This event is part of the Fire Starter Festival 2019. The Fire Starter Festival is an annual festival highlighting and celebrating innovation and creativity in Scottish public services, with a particular focus on transformational change. The Festival is curated and organised by Scottish Government, with events hosted by a broad range of public sector, third sector and community organisations. In 2019 it will run between 28 January – 8 February.
