Social innovation and working together – Networking Charity Conference

'Working together to make YORK better'

Thursday 8th June 2017
9.30am - 3.00pm (9.30am - 10.00am registration)
De Grey Court, York St John University

A networking conference to bring York charities, the voluntary sector and local businesses together to promote synergies and social enterprise; to make a strong unit that ‘works together to make York better’. The conference will be a mix of speeches and breakout workshops. In the main foyer there will be a number of small stalls to permit engagement with a number of local charities.

Chris is Deputy Director of Joseph Rowntree Foundation and will be presenting their Poverty Strategy Report

Sue Reece, Kyra

Dr Mike Hemmings, York St John University

Conference will be chaired by Jane Hustwit – York CVS


Conference aims:

  • Dissemination of Knowledge

  • Engagement - Through discussion and networking at the conference we can improve sector engagement and encourage collaboration and social innovation.

  • Knowledge sharing - Promote best practice and build alignment between local third sector organisations.
