Social Investment Careers Event

Social investment is a dynamic and exciting sector to grow your career, whether you’re looking for your first step into the world of work or a fresh start in a new direction. Social investors come from a wide and diverse range of backgrounds but with a common mission: to make a positive impact on the world around them through investment with a sustainable return.

As Big Society Capital continues to scale our impact and contribute towards the growth of the UK’s social impact investment market, we are excited to be hosting a social impact investment careers event as an opportunity for attendees to:

• Learn about how to develop a career in social investment and the wide range of skills the sector needs
• Hear directly from social investment professionals about their career stories and what a "day in the life" looks like in their job
• Meet others in the sector and ask questions about their work
• Hear about current job opportunities at Big Society Capital as we look to grow our investment team, and elsewhere in the sector

We would love to welcome anyone who is:

• Early to mid career in the public, private or social sector
• Interested in a career in social impact investment
• Current investment professionals exploring a career change into the social sector
• People from communities or backgrounds that are under-represented in the social impact investment sector (e.g. disabled people, racialised people, people who identify as LGBTQIA+ and those from under-served communities)
