Event description

Description

2018 will mark three years since the launch of the Arts Impact Fund. At £7 million, it is by far the largest single social investment initiative in the arts and cultural sector.

But what is social investment? What do we, as future fundraising leaders, need to know about the opportunities and challenges it presents? Why, how, and when should organisations seek social investment? What skills are needed to partner with social investors and how can we acquire them? And will social investment change arts and cultural giving?

Fran Sanderson, Nesta's Director of Arts Programmes & Investments and Head of the Arts Impact Fund and Jules Tomkins, Social Investment Manager for the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation will discuss exactly these questions for you with Vanessa Swann, Chief Executive of the award-winning social enterprise and arts business incubator Cockpit Arts, itself a social investor and investee.

As ever, we hope you will join your fellow YAFs for networking drinks after the discussion at The Yorkshire Grey.

Doors open 6.30pm

Discussion begins 7.00pm

Networking drinks 8.00pm
