Back by popular demand! Steve Kuncewicz, Manchester’s most-followed lawyer on Twitter, is hosting a repeat of this popular CIPR North West event on how to make sure you stay on the right side of the law when using social media.
Following the success of his recent event in Chester, Steve, Head of IP & Media for Bermans Commercial Lawyers, will once again use case studies to highlight the fine lines between social success and viral failure. The session will also cover how PR professionals can easily avoid common social media mistakes that often result in twitter storms and hefty court settlements.
This event will give attendees some insight into the rules and regulations of online media as well as the opportunities and risks for PR professionals in both B2B and B2C arenas.
Steve is a media spokesperson for a range of media outlets, including the Financial Times, Guardian, ITV News, Sky News and BBC News. He has recently been appointed as the legal blogger for The Drum and is the author of two books about legal issues in online communications.
The evening will begin at 6.00 pm with networking and refreshments; the presentation will begin at 7.00 pm, followed by questions at 8.00 pm.
At the event, non members will have the opportunity to receive a special discount code that allows them to join the CIPR without paying the joining fee.
Full payment must be received prior to the start of the event. No refunds or credit notes will be possible after Monday 13 April but you will be entitled to send a substitute.
