Event description

Description

Social media is one of the most efficient ways a person can reach a large, worldwide audience. Managing your profile, developing an audience and growing your presence can take time, but we know that a good, consistent use will positively affect your creative business.

WHO IS IT FOR

Artists and creatives, from ceramicists, illustrators, writers, to designers and makers who are based in Dorset. You recognised that you want to build a brand to be able to sell your work.

WHAT THIS WORKSHOP WILL COVER

During this session, we will cover the use of the primary social media tools available. We will look at ways of developing and growing an audience, as well as some general do’s and don’ts across platforms suitable to your creative enterprise. For those times when things don't go as planned, we will look at how to handle complaints and diffuse difficult situations. We will consider what makes for good shareable content, and look at the tools you might use to create pictures, film and animations. In addition to this, we will discuss the best ways for you to share your products with the world.

WHAT YOU WILL GO AWAY WITH

A greater understanding of how to use certain social media channels to promote your creative enterprise, manage your online reputation, as well as learning new tips and tricks you can start to use right away when promoting your creative product or service.

You will also get a chance to meet other creatives on the day to share your experiences and ideas on this subject.
