As with so many other areas of business - recruitment, marketing, PR, internal communications - social media is impacting massively on sales performance.
With this in mind, the FSB has been working to identify ways in which businesses in the region can collectively upskill their staff to sell effectively on sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter and even Facebook, as well as using traditional methods.
Furthermore, it is vital to regional economic growth that the business community’s strategies are geared up to achieve the four cornerstones of effective communications:
1) Assist in securing more customers;
2) Engage with and retain existing customers;
3) Communicate the company’s policies, brand messages and services;
4) Enable the business to become a more diverse and inclusive organisation.
This event will feature the FSB’s own Communications Manager, social media author, trainer and digital management expert, David Taylor. The event will offer an everyman guide to social networking as a business tool.
The event is free to attend and a buffet tea will be provided. Places are limited to one per company and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Prompt booking is therefore essential to avoid disappointment.
