Event description

Description

Making the most of your social media profiles is one of the key challenges faced by marketers in 2019. What consumers are expecting from accounts is changing regularly, and keeping up can be time-consuming.

This one-day workshop has been designed to help modern digital marketers understand how to maximise brand awareness through social media. As well as looking at how social media channels are working now, you’ll have the chance to explore case studies from brands doing it well and see how your business can learn from best practice.

You will delve into the psychology of sharers and learn how to create content that people want to engage with. The day will also cover general management techniques, such as strategy creation and how to maximise the lifespan of your content.

Finally, we’ll spend time looking over the measurement metrics provided to us from social media sites. How can we use these to inform future marketing decisions? And how do you interpret the figures to give us the full story of how content is performing?

This one-day social media training course draws upon Digital Allies’ years of experience of working in digital. Your trainer is an experienced practitioner and qualified teacher, and the course materials have been designed to be as interactive as possible with plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout the day.

The workshop will take place at Digital Allies’ new HQ in the centre of the Team Valley. Training takes place from 9.30am - 4.30pm, with an hour for lunch.

What will I learn?

This one-day session will give you the skills to be able to:

  • Establish social media objectives and identify methods to achieve them.
  • Conduct a social media audit to help you justify your strategy.
  • Create content that your audience loves.
  • Explain the benefits of paying for social media advertising.
  • Produce a plan to deal with negativity and criticism online.
  • Measure how social media content is performing.

Is this course for me?

This masterclass has been designed to help social media managers get the most out of the core platforms. It's also perfect for anyone who has taken over ownership of a corporate social channel and wants to get to learn how to manage them day-to-day.

How many people will be there?

In order to keep our sessions practical and hands-on, and ensure everyone benefits, we limit attendance to six delegates.

What should I bring with me?

You'll get the most use out of this course if you're able to bring along a laptop and mobile device so that we can help you with the accounts you manage.

Who is my trainer?

The session will be led by Scott Goodacre, Training Lead at Digital Allies. He's a qualified teacher and experienced marketer and has worked in senior marketing roles in several sectors.

What else do I need to know?

Our training is designed to be friendly and interactive. You can ask us anything you want - the stupidest question is the one that's not asked!

You'll be at our brand new office in the Team Valley, and we'll provide tea and coffee along with free WiFi. There's also plenty of free parking on the roads surrounding the office.

Can I pay by invoice?

Of course! If you don't have access to a business bank account and would prefer an invoice, email scott@digitalallies.co.uk with a purchase order number (if needed) and we'll get you sorted.

My business is a member of the North East England Chamber of Commerce.

Contact scott@digitalallies.co.uk to take advantage of a discounted ticket rate for NEECC members.
