Event description

Description

The Student Enterprise Team has pleasure in inviting you to the latest Skill Build in our series ‘Social Media Matters’.

The workshop will look at how Social Media, Facebook and Instagram in particular, can help bolster awareness of your products and services as part of your business strategy.

Whether you are a freelancer, looking to start, or already running, a business or consultancy then this workshop will look at how you can build a social media strategy that can increase awareness of your offer and ultimately boost sales.

Speaker:

The session will be delivered by Natasha Courtenay-Smith (www.natashacourtenaysmith.com) a digital marketing specialist, publicist & mentor who uses both online and mainstream media strategies to raise the profile of individuals and businesses. Her bestselling book, the Million Dollar Blog, offers practical advice on using content to build and monetise businesses and personal brands. She is a former national newspaper & glossy magazine journalist and has also run her own online press agency.

Doors open at 16:45pm

At the end of the workshop there will be an opportunity to relax with a drink to network with other likeminded students!

Note:

We are teaming up with Enterprise Nation and Facebook and their #SheMeansBusiness initiative which gives women the tools, support and advice to grow their businesses. The initiative is a push to get more females starting and running their own businesses. Currently in the UK only 20% of registered business owners are women.

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation and the Government’s Trade Ambassador, said: ‘We’re looking forward to working with the thousands of female founders with Facebook to help them grow thriving and satisfying businesses for the long term.’

This workshop is open to all current students and LCF alumni including the male population too!
