Event description

Description

The Civil Service Diversity and Inclusion Strategy was released in October 2017. At its core are the twin priorities of the civil service to:

- continue to increase the representation of currently under-represented groups at all levels across the Civil Service and

- focus on inclusion to build our culture and reputation as a place that attracts, develops, retains and fully engages all the diverse talent across our organisation

Often linked to Diversity & Inclusion is the term Social Mobility. So what is Social Mobility and how does this link to Diversity & Inclusion?

What are Departments doing about Social Mobility already and what more could we do?

This interactive session will enable you to find out all you need to know about Social Mobility, explore the barriers identified to improving Social Mobility, and work across departments to reduce them.

We are aware of some issues with Departmental infrastructures when using EventBrite. If you do encounter an issue you can use a personal device to register. Alternatively notify gillian.gaskell@education.gov.uk . However, please use your work email address. Alternatively if you cannot register yourself, please notify gillian.gaskell@education.gov.uk. Before booking, please discussed and agree your attendance with your line manager.
