The role of independent food retailers in social prescribing
Whilst community food growing spaces have long been involved in this kind of work (see Sustain’s 2019 research Social prescribing and London’s community garden and food growing sector as one example), retailers and traders are also playing a role.
In this session, we’ll hear from two Better Food Traders about how social prescribing has enabled them to innovate new products, bring in new regular income, develop new partnerships, and crucially, play a vital role in supporting the community.
