Event description

Description

First of a series of open sessions of Social Presencing Theatre (SPT). This practice group will meet last Saturday of each month, for about 3 hours.

SPT is a body-based mindfulness practice designed to “make visible” (theatre) the inner experience of individuals, and their relationship with their social and physical environments. Becoming aware of these invisible dynamics, opens possibilities for action – rather than reaction – that take in consideration the whole system.

Building on Theory U, SPT methodology offers individual and group practices that develop the ability to sense one’s inner experience, and the experience of the group, to surface possibilities within a system, and to explore courses of action.

Social Presencing Theatre (SPT) was developed by Arawana Hayashi, a dancer/choreographer and Buddhist meditation teacher, in collaboration with The Presencing Institute, in particular Otto Scharmer, initiator of Theory U.
