Social Skills for Networking

How good are your social skills when it comes to networking?

If you want to make the most of networking events you need to be able to build rapport with others.

This session is being run by Sarah Owen and Em Melrose who have worked with hundreds of Businesses and individuals who want to improve their networking skills using the language of DISC. This is great opportunity to learn from the experts and understand how you can get the most from networking.

After the session you will:

• Be able to identify the preferred style of others.
• Learn how to adapt your style to improve your relationship building.

This session is being run by DISCsimple and will be delivered virtually. The invitation to join the call will be sent out to attendees 24hrs before the event start time.

About DISCsimple

DISCsimple helps individuals to learn the behavioural language of DISC and its four ‘accents’. They enable people to recognise their own style and those they are communicating with. By understanding how people like to be communicated with, it makes it much easier to engage and to build more effective relationships with others.

About Connect event series

Connect is a series of workshops on how to network and build your social skills.

Participants will get an understanding into effective networking, how to present themselves, how to build confidence around networking, how to network with purpose (for a job, funding, collaboration etc.) and an opportunity to practice networking in our final session.

Aimed at young people aged 18-30 who would like to improve their networking skills, helping you to understand how to network with a purpose and boost your confidence when meeting and talking to others.

Participants of the final session will get an opportunity to meet a new cohort of potential employees, connections and mentees.
