Agenda

Intro's and Ice Breakers

We'll go round and introduce ourselves, short and sweet! Then a couple of fun ice-breakers to get us mingling a little

Sparking Joy

Tara will introduce the idea of 'sparking joy' which is an essential part of her sound bath meditations. Put simply, you will be invited to think of something that lights you up and brings you joy!

Soothing Sound Bath

You will then be invited to get cosy, ready for your sound bath. Think of this part as a bit of a mini 'sleep over'. Tara will take you through a joy-led meditation, then into the soothing sounds.

Tea and cake!

After your nourishing sound bath, we will come together for some grounding tea and cake! Gluten free and vegan options will be available.

🌀 FAQs

🧘 What is a sound bath, anyway?A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience where you lie down (or sit comfortably) and let calming sounds—like gongs, chimes, singing bowls, and gentle instruments—wash over you. No water involved, just good vibrations.

👋 Do I have to talk to people? No pressure at all! This is a low-key, low-pressure space. There will be gentle opportunities to connect, but you’re welcome to simply come, relax, and recharge in community.

🌙 I’m coming alone—is that okay?Absolutely! Most people come solo, and we’ve designed this space to feel safe and welcoming whether you arrive alone or with a friend.

🧺 What should I bring?Bring whatever helps you feel cosy: a yoga mat, blanket, cushion, and wear comfy clothes (hoodies, tracksuits and pj's encouraged!). Water bottle recommended.

How long is the sound bath itself?Roughly 45 - 50 minutes. There’ll be some time to settle in, get comfy and enjoy the sound bath with plenty of time to feel grounded and whole again at the end!

💷 How much is it?There are three types of tickets available: Early Bird: £15, Concession: £11 and General: £18. We want this to be as accessible as possible—please reach out if cost is a barrier.

The Venue

Cardiff Yoga Studio is located next to Cardiff Buddhist Centre, about 10 minute walk from Cardiff Castle, so nice and central! There is some free parking around the venue on a Sunday. Parking may be a little tricky so do leave enough time to park if travelling by car. Closest station is Cardiff Queen Street which is about a 12 minute walk.

About the facilitator

Tara is an experienced professional musician, music teacher, vocal coach and sound therapist who qualified at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and with the International Sound Healing Academy. She has been performing and teaching music for over 20 years and sharing sound baths in and around Bristol and Wales for the past three years.

Tara has used music to create meaningful connections for most of her life through performing and teaching music in various environments including bands, special schools, care homes and in community settings. The move to specifically study the healing power of sound was a natural step to deepen her understanding of how music and sounds can positively alter ones physical, emotional and spiritual state through deep listening, intention setting and energetic interaction with specific instruments.

Tara has just moved to Barry, Wales, and is interested in helping people connect to themselves and others through sound healing and social activities!
