Our CPD Accredited 1 day online course equips delegates with the skills needed to undertake a Form F assessment. This 1 day workshop is for social workers who are new to fostering or experienced assessors wanting to develop their skills. It will provide assessors with the knowledge and skills to meet all statutory requirements when preparing and presenting reports to a fostering panel. The course follows CoramBAAF guidelines. To access the course all registered delegates will receive an email containing a link. All that is required is a computer and an internet connection. Delegates will also have the option dial into the session from a phone. This live online session gives delegates the opportunity to ask questions and interact throughout the session. Prior to the training session each delegate will receive an assessor pack.

Class sizes are restricted to a maximum of 20 trainees, this enables us to deliver all the required information during one session. This ensures all trainees receive training and support that will meet their needs.

Introduce the Secure Base Model of assessing foster carers

To prepare assessors for dealing with unexpected issues

Highlight key lessons from serious case reviews

Introduce participants to the panel process
