Why you should come to Socialism 2016
You should come because you’re angry – angry at a world where inequality and economic crisis mean poverty for the majority and obscene wealth at the top.
Socialism 2016 will bring together over a thousand working class fighters, trade unionists, youth and student activists, anti-cuts campaigners, and people who want to change the world.
You should come because the bosses and the right wing have shown they won’t give up without a fight - we need to prepare to take them on.
You should come because austerity must be fought and that fight means understanding the best lessons of all previous struggles.
Average pay in Britain has fallen by 10.4% since 2007. The housing crisis threatens to swallow us up and spit us out. And the Tories want to carry on destroying public services in the interests of the 1%. How can we kick them out?
Resistance movements are arising to challenge the rule of the bosses and the bankers. What is necessary for them to be successful? How can their victories be made permanent?
In Britain this includes the civil war over the future of the Labour Party - how can we achieve a party of the 99%, that stands unapologetically in our interests?
You should come to Socialism 2016 because it will be an event crammed with discussion and debate on all this and on the most important question in the world – how we can change it.
