Following our successful conference marking the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China last year, we will mark China’s 76th National Day with a conference on Saturday 27 September, 1:30-6pm, at Bolivar Hall, 54 Grafton Way, London W1T 5DL.
The event is organised by Friends of Socialist China, with support from a number of progressive organisations including the Morning Star, Communist Party of Britain, Workers Party of Britain, Communist Party of Ireland, International Manifesto Group, Black Liberation Alliance, Iskra Books, Praxis Press, Manifesto Press, Young Communist League, Caribbean Labour Solidarity, Association of Indian Communists, Third World Solidarity, No 2 NATO, Institute for Independence Studies.
In addition to opening and closing rallies, there will be panels discussions on:
- China as a force for peace and multipolarity
- China’s achievements in overcoming poverty and building socialism
- How China is leading the fight against climate breakdown
