This month, we invite you to our Social Media and presentation skills seminar at 6pm on Thursday 29 September 2016.
In partnership with sponsors Blackadders Solicitors, we are looking forward to entertaining and informative sessions from:
Scott Grant – Blackadders’ very own marketing and social media guru, Scott will teach you how to blog, tweet and link your way to success by effectively promoting yourself and your skills through LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and more. While many are familiar with these platforms, very few of us use them to their full potential – so come and learn how to stand-out!
Jack Boyle and Andrew Wallace – two thirds of Blackadders’ award-winning employment team, Jack and Andy will be delivering a session on the do’s and don’ts of Social Media in the workplace. The line between business and personal is getting increasingly blurred these days, especially when social media is involved, so this session will demonstrate the importance of smart use of technology by both employees and employers. This will also be a useful session for those in management and those who run their own business, as the delicate role of the employer will be explained.
Nikki McDonald and Louise Abercrombie – from Blackadders’ vastly experienced Learning & Development team, Nikki and Louise will bring the best of presentation and personal development skills. After you’ve built your social media empire, don’t neglect the fundamental impact that your personal presentation has in the real world: from how you dress to how you speak to how you take your tea. Come and learn more about the image that you project to the world and to friends, colleagues, employers, customers and investors.
BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!
We hope you will also join us for something to eat afterwards, and have arranged an area to be set aside at Project Pie on Reform Street. They will be offering 25% off pizza and are throwing in a free soft drink for your trouble!
While the event is free to attend (pizza, alas, not free) there are limited places available, and so we would be very grateful if you could register yourself through the following Eventbrite link in advance:
Do you know someone who would like to come along? Bring them - we're always looking out for new members!
