Event description

Description

Date: Friday 26th January (12.00-17.00, followed by wine reception)

Venue: University of Greenwich, Old Royal Naval College, Queen Anne Building, Room 075

The Business, Human Rights and the Environment Research Group at the University of Greenwich (BHRE) and London Universities Purchasing Consortium invites you to their 4th joint Symposium on Socially Responsible Public Procurement and Public Buyers Forum. As in previous years we will be discussing some of the most pressing issues regarding the roles and responsibilities of public buyers towards the human rights of those we produce the goods we purchase and provide the services we contract.

This year we will also be launching our new e-Learning package on promoting and protecting human rights in the supply chain, based on the highly successful Protecting Human Rights in the Supply Chain. A Guide for Public Procurement Practitioners, published by CIPS. This package will be free to all public authorities

More details on the programme and speakers will follow!
