Widening intersecting socio-economic inequalities regionally, nationally and globally, including issues around food and fuel poverty, housing, sanitation, transport (plus many others), are clearly interconnected with issues of environmental sustainability and the climate crisis. This workshop aims to bring together experts working across these intersecting crises to provide an opportunity to explore connections and forge interdisciplinary collaborations, with a view to contributing to future funding bids, including an ESRC Centre bid currently being drafted. The workshop aims to bring together scholars working on, but not limited to, the following topics areas under this broad theme:

• Diverse economies
• Austerity
• Poverty
• Food
• Health and social care
• Climate change adaptation
• Global South
• Energy
• Crisis management
• Infrastructures and mobilities
• Water and sanitation
• Sustainable transitions
