This taster session in Sociodrama and action methods is for you.

Sociodrama is a method for exploring relationships within and between groups in societies. It has applications in organisational, community and educational settings. Practitioners of Sociodrama are agents of change, helping groups to identify shared concerns and from there, to create shared meaning and shared solutions.

This taster session is for Facilitators, Group workers, Team Leaders, Consultants, Youth and Community workers, Campaigners, Activists, Teachers, Trainers, Project Leaders, Therapists, …. in fact, anyone who lives and works with other human beings is likely to find Sociodrama of benefit.

The session will be facilitated by Tony Cealy and John Wenger.

Tony is an actor, trainer, drama facilitator and theatre practitioner. He uses drama and theatre to encourage self-awareness and to assist individuals in exploring the idea of change and the impact that it may have on their lives. He believes in the notion that individuals have the capacity to respond in different ways to pressures from friends, families or environment and appreciates the power of Sociodrama and creative action methods to assist people to develop this capacity.

John has been using Sociodrama and action methods in his work as a trainer, counsellor and organisational/leadership coach since 1998. He believes that Sociodrama has the power to change the world by assisting people to develop greater abilities to relate well to one another and to marshall the kind of collective intelligence that groups, teams and organisations need to deal with some of the issues and concerns that face them.
