Soft Observations - Drawing with Thread
Overview
In this one hour workshop, we will be using hand hand sewing and other methods of attaching and drawing with thread, to explore objects from nature.
You will be guided through a series of exercises to support in exploring your object from different perspectives. Visually dissecting the object will allow us to see it beyond its overall immediate form, but instead through the subtleties of pattern, line and shapes.
The workshop will be hosted by Phoebe Moss. Phoebe is an Artist with a Textiles background and currently works in further education. She is interested in the holistic benefits of visual arts. Her background in Textiles has lead to the discovery and appreciation of Pattern, this has lead to an interest in the broad, cross disciplinary and both creative and methodical way of exploring subjects.
