Description


This programme is aimed at practitioners who have experience of simple implant placement and who wish

to further their knowledge of soft tissue management.

It will provide knowledge of the treatment available to improve the cosmetic outcome of implant treatment.

Course Summary

This two-day course provides an insight into all aspects of soft tissue management, including suturing

techniques, flap design and connective tissue grafts.

Educational outcome

On completion of this course, delegates will have an understanding of aesthetic flap design for implant

procedures. They will be able to raise split thickness flaps, and undertake palatal roll and connective

tissue grafting techniques.

Twelve hours CPD.

Detailed Programme:

• Principles of peri-implant aesthetics/Implant positioning

• Local anatomy of gingival tissues/biology of soft tissue graft healing

• Suturing techniques

• Aesthetic flap design

• Split thickness flaps / buccal pouch

• Recession surgery for Teeth / Implants

• Palatal roll technique

• Split thickness connective tissue grafting

• Tunnel flaps / Rotational CT grafting

• Hands-on soft tissue techniques using pigs’ heads
