We'll be diving deep into Soil Biology, soil health and what this could mean for your farm or growing project.

Bacteria and fungi have the enzymes to access micronutrients, whilst your crops produce sugars and protein that feeds them. Among a myriad of potential exchange scenarios the most important is the grazing of protozoa and nematodes. By eating the bacteria and fungi, these micro-graziers release nutrients in plant available form right where your plant needs it – next to the root. Instead of guessing your plants’ needs, allow this army of willing workers to produce just the right amounts of what they need, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without supervision.

a bit about Soil Ecology Lab: We started our understanding of the soil opposite to most – with biology. Our focus on developing a very fungal compost gave you the unique opportunity to start testing the soil food web concept without having to spend years learning the craft. Like many we owe our beginnings to Dr. Elaine Ingham. Daniel, our founder, was her first UK student, and we’ve all completed her training. After that we felt that to really know what the crop needs, we had to understand the nutrition side of the equation. Adam took upon himself to learn to read William Albrecht style soil reports which we have since incorporated to our offer. It gave us a unique perspective of the story of nutrients and their transformation from the total pool by microbes into plant-available and then what ends up in the plant itself.
