"I would never have had the confidence and know how to enter the solar industry if it wasn't for the accelerator. I achieved a Level 3 in solar and Battery in just 5 days, with further 1-1 support which continues well after the accelerator leading me to MCS Accreditation" - Amrit, Dynamic Solar & EV

Green Tech Installer Accelerator launch event

Seizing new market opportunities from West Yorkshire’s net zero ambition.

Demand for solar is booming, with projected demand exceeding supply for locally based installers. Qualified electricians have a unique opportunity to join this growing market by developing new skills, accessing local opportunities, and growing their business base across the region.

Green Economy, in partnership with WYCA, invite you to learn about a new programme aiming to accelerate the number of locally based businesses entering and benefiting from West Yorkshire’s growing solar market.

With a focus on the domestic solar market, the Solar Installer Accelerator will work with local and national partners to provide access to the required qualifications, certifications and skills needed to run a sustainable and thriving MCS-certified solar business.

Eligibility: This programme is funded by WYCA in partnership with Green Economy and is open to businesses based in West Yorkshire not already operating in the Solar sector.
