Solder On: An introduction to soldering for repair (Hackney)

Want to learn some handy repair skills? Join us for our Solder On: An introduction to soldering for repair (Fixperience Workshop), coming to Hackney's Fixing Factory on 22nd October 2025! This workshop is a fun, hands-on way to jump into DIY repairs, cut down on waste, and keep a little extra cash in your pocket.

The workshop is designed for those with little to no prior experience, so don’t worry if you’re new to this.

Each session is small and friendly, with up to six people per workshop. So whether you come solo or with friends, you’re in for a relaxed, supportive environment. With one to two facilitators for each group, you’ll get plenty of one-on-one guidance as you learn the ropes.

Solder On: An introduction to soldering for repair

Soldering means joining metal parts together using a filler metal. Being able to solder opens up a new world of electronics projects and repair possibilities. Participants will learn how to splice wires, work safely and get to practice soldering skills by building a small electronics project.
