On Tuesday 28th August 2018. Brixtons Iconic Rizy plays host to SoleSeekers The Film, the UK’s first ever feature length documentary on UK trainer culture.

Soleseekers makes history as it stomps it’s way onto the big screen, documenting the rise of collectors, inspectors and respecters of trainers, affectionately known as “sneaker heads”.

People of all backgrounds, races, and religious beliefs, have banded together with one unifying purpose; to find the holy grail of trainers through the appreciation of the trainer/sneaker culture.

Award winning Director Emil Socialize (Socialize Media) directs an honest journey of the trainer revolution over the years; cleverly documenting the eras from the Football Casuals during the 70’s and 80’s, 90’s Rave and hip hop culture, year 2k Garage ravers, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and beyond.

Soleseekers The Film highlights the importance of music, fashion and UK culture to the UK trainer collectors scene in blended with stories and recollections from avid collectors Such as Kish Kash, Robert ‘Brooksy’ Brooks (Adidas collector), Magdi Fernandes plus others. Soleseekers looks at how the Internet, the reseller markets and bots have changed the way in which collectors collect. The UK sportswear market is worth over £8 billion today and showing no signs of slowing down so it is safe to predict that the UK Soleseekers are here to stay.
