This session will be presented by Kate and Emma from Piece of Cake Marketing, who will share top tips for using Twitter. They are experienced users of Twitter and also manage accounts for other businesses, so this will be a valuable insight into how you get get more out of your Twitter activity.

The cost for this session is £8.50 for non-members and only £6 for members. (If you attend regularly why not become a member, as you can save £2.50 on each session you attend and benefit from a wealth of other benefits too? ). You pay for the session on the day and receipts are provided. Handouts are provided at each session for you to take back to you business.

There will be time for you to network and meet other local business women and we also have a table for you to display your business cards. 

Parking is available. Our sessions are open to any women who are running a business, working in a business or thinking of starting feel free to extend the invite to others who may be interested.

Socially Shared Business Network

Socially Shared is a monthly business support network and member's club for women. The network was founded by Karen Heap of Orchard Business Development and is now run as a joint venture with Rebecca Jones of Glory Design.  Karen and Rebecca make a great team and collectively have more than 25 years of experience working with businesses, both in the graphic design and business support industries.

Socially Shared was created after years of attending other networking events, training programmes and workshops in and around the Midlands.  Each of these events had it’s own clear aim and objectives, but there appeared to be a gap in the market for combining networking with real hands on learning that would add immediate value to a business.  Workshops, training programmes and events do of course offer value to businesses, but how do you continually develop and enhance your knowledge after the event?  Where can you go to ask the questions that are important to you, after the workshop has ended, when you have returned back to your business?  In addition to this many people that attend such training sessions and workshops often feel a little uncomfortable with formal learning environments and in some cases extremely self-conscious about the level of their own understanding. 

It was whilst looking for the answers to these questions and thinking about the difficulties that people were having, that led to the creation of Socially Shared.  A relaxed, sociable environment, where women can learn more about the subjects that they want to know more about, ask the questions that matter to them and be able to develop themselves and their business on a regular basis.
