Margaret Soraya is a Scottish landscape photographer, artist and writer based on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. For over a decade she has sought solitude on the islands’ deserted beaches, using long-exposure techniques, minimalist compositions and a limited colour palette to transform stormy seas into impressionistic studies of calm and space. A four-time Master Photographers Association Travel & Landscape Photographer of the Year (UK) and overall Scottish Master Photographer in 2017, she founded the Creative Light Festival and an online membership community to champion well-being through shared creativity .
In this talk, Margaret will reveal her process for finding stillness in nature - how light, mood and open space shape each frame - and share the stories behind her most iconic Hebridean images. You’ll leave inspired to carve out your own creative retreat and to see the world with fresh eyes.
Unfortunately we can only make recordings available to members of Frodsham & District PS, so don't buy a ticket if you can't watch the talk live.
