Solstice Slowdown Sound Bath (Greenwich)
Overview
Hosted by Laura and Tom of Found in Sound, Solstice Slowdown is a sonic sanctuary in Greenwich in honour of the Solstice which is traditionally seen as a celebration of the light returning and abundance.
We invite you into a space designed to support renewal & harmony on every level. As you enter, you will see candlelight, an astro projector, hear the sounds of fire burning, smell the scent of the forest, and receive a small present to thank you for your presence.
To celebrate the season, each guest will receive a vegan Christmas-tree brownie, a herbal tea to take home, and a special intention gift of angel aura quartz - a stone with a rainbow-like appearance, seen as a physical manifestation of pure light and abundance of positivity, luck and success.
We begin with an intention-setting meditation accompanied by the bass drum, whose low frequencies help activate the body’s ‘rest and digest’ response. This gentle opening allows you to settle fully into your body and the moment. From here, you’ll be immersed in layers of therapeutic sound, including gongs, crystal bowls, and the voice, designed to calm the mind, rebalance the nervous system, and relax the body.
All instruments are played with intention, using tones and intervals that support symmetry and inner harmony. Found in Sound often aligns sound baths with new moons, full moons, and significant celestial moments to amplify healing effects and intentions. The Winter Solstice is one of the most powerful of these thresholds — a symbolic doorway into a new cycle, illuminated by the returning light.
Please bring your own mats & comfort kit with you.
