Join us for one of Annan’s most atmospheric seasonal traditions as we welcome the return of the light and celebrate together as a community.

The walk is free, but donations are warmly encouraged to help us cover the cost of transport and event materials. Thank you for supporting community events at Annan Harbour.

🚌 Bus Transport to Newbie (Booking Required)
We have a limited number of bus spaces available.
The bus will run twice from Port Street, opposite the Blue Bell Inn, to Newbie:

• 4:30 PM
• 5:00 PM

Booking is required for the bus, and spaces are limited.
The bus will collect participants opposite the Blue Bell Inn.

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ Prefer to walk both ways? No booking needed!
If you’d like to enjoy the full return walk from the Annan Harbour to Barnkirk Point and back, simply meet us at Annan Harbour at 4:30 PM.

🔥 At Barnkirk Point

• Gather around a warm and atmospheric bonfire.
• Get your wax torche as we welcome the longest night of the year.

🕯 Torchlit Walk

Light your way through the evening as we begin our 1-hour walk from Barnkirk Point back to Annan Harbour.

🍲 Back at the Harbour

A cosy finish awaits with:

hot food

warm drinks

festive cheer

a welcoming brazier fire

Please wear:

• warm layers
• waterproofs
• sturdy walking boots
  And bring your torches if you have them.
