Course Description:

This course is being delivered online, and a recording will be available for up to 30 days after the course has ended.

This course will provide participants with an overview of the EHCP consultation and amendment process, including the responsibilities of both schools and local authorities as part of that process.

The course will look at the legal framework surrounding EHCPs and will consider:

· what makes an EHCP effective;

· what a placement consultation should look like; and

· how unlawful or unreasonable decisions can be challenged.

Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions and will receive practical guidance on how to navigate the EHCP minefield.

This course is suitable for:

Senior leaders, SENDCos, aspiring leaders and/or those with involvement in SEND decision making.

When will I receive the event joining instructions?

The final information, including how to join the live event, will be emailed to you directly from the NAHT Professional Development team at least 5 days before and again the day before the event date. Unless you advise us otherwise, we will assume that you have received the joining instructions. A refund will not be given for non-attendance on the grounds of joining instructions not being received, it is the attendee’s responsibility to ensure they have the information before the event.

Cancellation fees:

Within 31 working days - 25% charge

Within 14 working days - 50% charge

Within 7 working days - 75% charge

Within 3 working days - 100% charge
