Are there toilet facilities

There are toilets at the start/Finish, there are also public toilets in the villages of Kippford, Rockliffe and New Abbey on the route and at the first feed station in Barend Holiday village

is there sufficient car parking

There is free car parking in the field next to the village hall

What type of bike do I need

A gravel bike with at least 35mm wide tyres would be ideal but a cyclocross bike or hardtail MTB would also do the job. The route IS NOT suitable for road bikes.

Are the routes signposted?

This is a self supported, self navigating event so ideally a GPS navigation device or map should be used. There will be a few small signs on the route to indicate where the different routes split and where shortcuts can be taken. Small paper maps will be available on the day to help.

Is there a time cut off or sweeper?

There is no sweeper van or cut off time. If you want to cut the ride short or head somewhere else, that is fine. We will be cleaning up at the hall around 5pm and we cant guarantee there will be any refreshments left after that time or that the hall will still be open. Car park will stay open.
