Event description
Exmoor Forest Ride Day 30th June 2019. A non-competitive fun day for TRF members on trail and enduro bikes in a fantastic forest location

About this Event

Somerset TRF are pleased to announce we are holding another of our very popular Exmoor Forest Ride Days on the 30th June 2019.

This event is at a brand new location near Minehead and will have parking at the location and camping on the Saturday night if required (no facilities).

You will not be able to purchase tickets on the day, so you have to do them through this advanced process.

You have to be a member of the TRF and show your membership card on sign on.

The event is for motorcycles only, no quads.

If you are not yet a TRF member, you can join here; http://www.trf.org.uk/wp-join-the-trf/

The way we work our riding for the day it is that from a meeting and pit area, where we do quality food and drink throughout the day, there is a one-way main loop around the forest that is accessible for all abilities. Coming of this main loop are a number of clearly marked sub-routes of varying difficulty between Moderate, Severe and Extreme; so there is something for all abialites to enjoy. All of these sub-loops lead back on to the main loop to allow you to continue your lap.

There are NO tyre restrictions at this venue

As this event is on private land, Junior riders (under 16) are welcome to ride for free as long as they are supervised throughout the day by a paid up TRF adult.

Motorsport is an extremely dangerous activity. It is important that all riders think very carefully about the risks they are undertaking whenever they are involved. It must be recognised by all riders that there will be accidents that may cause death or sustain serious injuries and it could be you. All riders must appreciate that they participate in motorsport entirely at their own risk. One of the main risks in motorsport is obviously speed. Situations which would not give rise to major danger at low speed can have extremely serious consequences at high speed.
While the organisers will do their reasonable best to make the event as safe as possible, there will inevitably be occasions when mistakes are made. It must, however, be recognised by all riders that where an accident occurs in such circumstances, any fault on the part of the organisers will not be the principal cause of any serious injury sustained. The dominant cause of any serious injury will be the fact that the accident happened at speed. The risk of accidents is one of the inherent risks involved in motorsport and every rider must consent to this. We strongly recommend that you initially undertake a slow speed ‘sighting’ ride of the whole venue to understand the course layout and specific risks
