Somewhere Over the Rainbow is a fun, interactive, and engaging session providing information from Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Nutrition & Dietetics. The session includes ages & stages of child development and focuses on how we can encourage parents to support their child's development (pre-birth – 5 years) through 3 key messages “Talk, Play and Explore”.
The session is completely free! It is suitable for anyone working with children and/or their families.
What we do today will become the foundations of tomorrow!
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Does it matter how much I already know about Child Development?
We cover a wide variety of information surrounding child development, including ages and stages. If you are an experienced early years worker then you may already know some of the information. If you have less experience you are likely to learn more. However, we feel there is something for everyone in this training, and feedback from our participants tells us that people always learn new things from attending. Please contact us if you want to discuss this in any more detail.
Parking at the Venue
If you are travelling by car, please park in the main campus car park, which is located on the left side of Gowans Terrace immediately before the approach road to the campus. Parking is not permitted on the private road through the car park that leads to Muirton Cottages. The car park can be busy and we would ask you to encourage car sharing. The only parking permitted outwith the main car park is in the disabled parking bays on the road round the side of the campus building, and any cars parking here must display a current disabled badge.
Tea and Coffee is provided free of charge.
The session will run for approximately 2hrs and 45 minutes. If you need to leave early, or are likely to arrive a few minutes late, please contact us in advance.
