Event Information
Description
Tickets for 2nd performance released due to popular demand!
The premiere sold-out in a matter of hours! Here's your chance to catch the second performance of SÓN's eWaste Project live on stage.
Featuring the voices of 85 children, young vocalists, rappers, electronics and ensemble, this brand-new piece has been written by SÓN musicians and the youngsters themselves, exploring themes of electrical and electronic waste, recycling and the circular economy.
Don't miss the story of Bob the iPhone, find out what happened to the Dead Computer and groove to the electro-rap Monster Electric. The whole piece fuses words, music and song with graphics, film and imagery into an enthralling 20 minute epic!
Seating is unreserved and tickets are free – however numbers are limited. Kindly note that the performance will be filmed.
This project has been possible thanks to generous support from the University of Southampton's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council IAA.

FAQs
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
University of Southampton is well-served with public transport links, with buses stopping right outside at the Jubilee Sports Centre, next to the performance venue. There is ample cycle space around the Student Union Building, and car-parking on neighbouring streets should not be a problem on a Saturday lunchtime, but do plan ahead and expect a 5-10 minute walk.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Best contact is via twitter where you can find us @SONOrchestra
Or you can email us at info@thesonproject.com
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
That's fine. The only thing we ask is, if you're unable to make it, please return the tickets via Eventbrite so as we can keep an eye on numbers and enable as many as possible to hear our event.
