SonaTalks is launching its inaugural event entitled 'Celebrating Potential in Refugee Communities’, a programme of volunteer-led talks that brings people together to share worthwhile conversations. The event will showcase the diverse achievements and successes of refugees, highlighting their unique contribution to the local community through a series of short talks by refugees and people who support refugees in a variety of ways.

Join us for a day of celebration at Kindred in Hammersmith, a members club with a heart for community and connection.

The event will be hosted by an award winning comedian and the entertainment will comprise of comedy performances by refugee comedians and improv comedians, in addition to live music performances from various artists. Here's a glimpse at our stellar speaker lineup:

Of course, who can forget about the food? Speciality hot sourdough sandwiches served with fries and salad bowls followed by a homemade dessert will be served for lunch. Delicious delicacies served in small bowls will be served for dinner which will include vegan options. Canapes and a selection of wines will be served throughout the evening drinks and at the event after party.

Early bird Tickets are £35 per person until the 31st August 2019 after which tickets will be £50 per person.

Two event sessions will be held during the day. There will be a Morning and an Afternoon session. The Morning session will run from 9am till 2pm and the Afternoon session will run from 3pm till 8pm. Please select which session you would like to attend when purchasing a ticket. Tickets will admit you entrance to one of the sessions only. Tickets for either session will admit you entrance to the after party event which will run from 8pm till 11pm.

By buying a ticket for this event you are helping support the vital work that Sona Circle does which includes: expanding and developing a networking platform for refugees, providing information on training and education to refugees and supporting refugees to find jobs, internships, apprenticeships and gainful employment in the UK.

Travel Information:

Kindred in Hammersmith is very well served by public transport; especially London Underground. The venue is located immediately outside the Hammersmith Underground station. Attendees wishing to travel by car will be not be provided with parking on site, but car parking can be found in the local area.
