Song Writing Workshop
Sat, 6 May 2017, 10:30 – Sat, 27 May 2017, 12:30 BST
A workshop for people who would like to write songs but don’t quite know how to start!
This four week course will help people over that stumbling block and will cover writing lyrics, working with rhythm, developing a tune and adding harmony. We will work together on creating songs that come out of your own experiences, experiment with several musical genres and use an 8 track recorder to help our song development. You don't need to be able to read music in order to take part, and you are very welcome to bring along a musical instrument.
This event will be held by Clare Watson. Clare is a Creative Facilitator, Theatre Practitioner and Natural Voice Singing Leader. She has led singing groups for 9 years, developed her own theatre practice and engaged community groups in a wide range of artistic activities.
This event will take place from 10:30am - 12:30pm on the 6, 13, 20 and 27 May 2017. A single ticket for all four sessions is £32.
