Event description

Description

Allow yourself to be transported into your own deep space of connection and peace, bathing in the vibrational energies of the healing Gong.

A perfect way to end your weekend with a deeply relaxing gong bath at the lovely Positivity Centre.

Dates have been chosen to coincide with the natural rhythmic cycles of the Autumn Equinox, new and full moons where the vibrational power is strong which makes it an ideal time for intention setting.

I have two beautiful gongs and will play one or both depending on what is needed energetically on the day, Meinl’s 32” Don Conreaux Eight Corners of Heaven Mirror Gong which has a wonderful mix of depth and brightness to its sound and Paiste's 24" Venus, representing femininity, sensuality and love.

Doors open at 5.45pm to start at 6.00pm at the Positivity Centre, Nashdom Lane, Burnham, SL1 8NJ. Free parking available on site.

'Sonic Sunday' Gong Bath dates are;*

Sunday 22nd September at 6pm Autumn Equinox

Sunday 27th October at 6pm Scorpio New Moon

Sunday 10th November at 6pm Taurus Full Moon

Sunday 1st December at 6pm Sagittarius New Moon

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to get settled in. The Gong Bath will last for an hour, ending at 7.00pm. Those attending are welcome to stay on for tea and chat afterwards. Please note; No late arrivals, we have to close the main door to make sure that no-one will be disturbed by those who are running late. Thank you for your understanding.

As the effects can be very powerful, this gong bath is not recommended during pregnancy, for children under 13 years old or if suffering with severe mental health problems.

What to bring and wear

Bring a bottle of water. Wear loose, comfortable clothes, layers are best. Yoga mats, blankets and eye masks are provided by the Positivity Centre. However, you may also like to bring another mat for extra cushioning, a pillow and blanket or sleeping bag for comfort and warmth as body temperature drop quickly when in a state of relaxation.

The Power of the Gong

The gong has been used throughout history as a ceremonial and healing instrument. It is believed to have been around for up to 5000 years, since the beginning of the Bronze Age. The vibration of the gong is a powerful method for reducing stress. The gong creates an ocean of sound that is profoundly relaxing; a state which activates the parasympathetic nervous system to balance the over amped, over taxed, sympathetic nervous system.

Water has often been used as an analogy for the rippling effect of the gong’s vibrations, partly because our bodies are approximately 70 percent water and water serves to conduct sound waves. Like ripples created by a pebble skimmed across a lake, the gong’s sound gently reverberates over, around and through the entire body to calm, relax and soothe. The gong induces a holistic resonance in the body and a spontaneous meditative state in the mind, resulting in a sense of expanded awareness and wholeness.

I look forward to sharing the Sound Space with you on the night.
