Sophie Docker: Creating a Kind Culture

Sophie Docker: Creating a Kind Culture

By At the Chapel

Overview

Trainer and justice specialist Sophie Docker explores what it takes to lead for a kinder world.

What conditions support kindness in our families, communities and workplaces? What gets in the way? And what can each of us do to lead for a kinder world?

In this special Meantime event, Sophie Docker - trainer in Nonviolent Communication and specialist in restorative and transformative justice - explores the themes of power, conflict, anger, equity, justice, care and compassion. Drawing on her work with changemaking organisations and communities, Sophie shares experiences and discoveries from the frontlines of conflict transformation and offers practical tools you can use to create more kindness in your own world.

Sophie is co-director of the charity OpenEdge Transforming Conflict and works across diverse settings, from boardrooms to classrooms, parliament to prison. Her approach invites us to see conflict not as something to fear, but as a driver for meaningful change – a pathway to greater connection, justice and compassion.
