Sophie Hannah - The new Agatha Christie

Sophie Hannah has been dubbed the 'Queen of Crime’ and the ‘new Agatha Christie’ and is an internationally bestselling writer of psychological crime fiction. In 2014, with the blessing of Agatha Christie’s estate, Sophie published a new Hercule Poirot novel, The Monogram Murders, followed by a second, Closed Casket – both bestsellers. Sophie’s novel The Carrier won the Crime Thriller of the Year Award at the Specsavers National Book Awards. Two of her crime novels, The Point of Rescue and The Other Half Lives, have been adapted for TV, titled Case Sensitive. Sophie has also published short story collections and five collections of poetry: Pessimism for Beginners was shortlisted for the 2007 T S Eliot Award. She lives in Cambridge with her husband, children and dog. Her new standalone thriller, Did You See Melody? is published in August this year.
