About this Event
Sotheby’s are delighted to be exhibiting works from our upcoming Scottish Art Sale at the prestigious Edinburgh Grand on St Andrew Square. On view will be a rich variety of Scottish art from the 19th Century right through to the present day. The sale is led by an incredible selection of works by Samuel John Peploe spanning the breadth of his artistic career. There are also a number of works by the other Scottish Colourists, including wonderful still life works by George Leslie Hunter and F.C.B. Cadell. Being offered for the first time at auction is one of the most important watercolours by Arthur Melville to ever come to market depicting an incredible view of 19th Century Cairo. There are works by many of Scotland’s most admired post-war artists including Anne Redpath, Joan Eardley, John Bellany and Peter Howson amongst many others.
The auction is taking place online between 10-17 November with an exhibition at Sotheby’s in London between 13-17 November.
We would like to invite you book an appointment to view the works.
